Pups will have been brought to my Veterinarian
for a health/wellness checkup and you will
receive a report of this visit.

Puppy will have received an initial core
vaccination*.  Your veterinarian will set of a
schedule with you to complete the series of
vaccinations necessary.

I will be giving the pups several treatments of
dewormers, etc. to clear your puppy
pups system of any parasites. Bring a stool
sample with you to the initial visit, to verify you
puppy is now parasite free.

Puppy will be receiving:
daily vitamins,  SEP food additive, and periodic
nail clippings, ear cleanings, and a fresh bath for
take home day.

You will receive a information sheet detailing all
the care the puppy has received while with me
to give to your vet.

Mail or Email me PICTURES from time to
time for my brag book.
Learn all you can about the psychology and
behavior of dogs, in particular, and the
Havanese Breed specifically. Include
training for  small dogs in your library. Start
reading books well before the time you take
your new puppy home.
After a deposit is paid, I will be setting
up an appointment to have you visit
here to meet me, the mom, the
Havanese pups, and I'm sure you
could convince my Golden Retrievers
to give you a welcome kiss, if you so
desired.

any puppy, training your pet to be a pleasant
member of your household takes time,
persistence, consistance, and most of all
patience.

baby.   They don't train themselves!!   
 A well behaved dog takes time. Yes,
time, consistency, and work.  
BASIC TRAINING is so important for  
Everyone's happiness. Enroll your pup in
puppy kindergarten as soon as the school
allows.  You will learn how to train your
pup the right way, and it's a great
opportunity for socializing. (For the pup,
not you☺).

I will register your puppy with the  
AKC for you. Puppy is being sold
with a Limited Registration. Upon
pickup of your puppy, give me the
desired AKC name. It will contain
OF MOA's Lot at the end.
On pick up day, I will go over the
basics of caring for your puppy --
ears, nails, feeding, etc. and
several other tips which I find important.

It is important to make sure your Havanese
gets quality veternarian care. Start
researching the current protocols for care
like vaccinations, spaying neutering, diet,
etc.  Call around to find the practice that is
on the same page with you on these various
routines. I recommend the vaccination  
protocol of Dr J. Dodds.  Set up the appt
I will be starting to socialize your
puppy.  He/she will have safe
exposure to people, outdoors, my
other dogs, and frequent exposure to
to various sounds like sirens,
thunder, etc by a CD frequently
playing in the background.

Puppies are chosen in the order the deposits are
received. They will receive the Volhard PAT  testing
at 7 weeks to help determine the best puppy for
you, however, the final choice will be yours.
A Book on Puppy training will be given when
the deposit is paid so you have plenty of time to
read it before you bring your puppy home.  This
is just the minimum of what you should read to
get yourself prepared.

Basic obedience training -- sit, down, stay, come,
etc.-- (not only housebreaking) is a must to have
a dog that will not only be a pleasure to be with
but, more importantly one that you can rely on
to obey your commands, in case he was ever in
a dangerous situation, like accidentally getting
off leash.

You will also receive:

A supply of puppy food and my water for
transition period.

A towel to put with the puppy in the crate that
has Mom's scent on it to make the transition
easier.
